it’s 92 degrees in my apartment even with a bran new air conditioner, the landlord won’t let me put it in the window, cuz he doesn’t want to take it out. i feel lkie i’m gonna die
You could get someone to put the a/c in your window that would be the thing to do. When it’s time to take it out I’m sure you could find someone to do that for you too.
It would be a good idea to put some water (not a lot) in the bath tub and try putting kitty in there. Just don’t run the water when you have the cat in the tub. That will make matters worse as cats get scared out of their wits when they are in a tub with running water. Take an old cup or something and just pour water over your cat. I wouldn’t even bother to dry the cat off either.
I used to do this for my cats when I didn’t have a/c. It cools them off and makes the cat feel better.
If you have fans turn them on and let the air circulate around your place.
First, I’m glad that at least you have the fridge door open , also maybe you should try to make a compromise with your landlord about the air-conditioner. As for you, sit by an open window or something, or hold some ice or something cold against you, or if you have a fan turn it on. Then again if you had a fan you probably might have mentioned it in your question or you probably wouldn’t feel like you are going to die. That’s all I could come up with at the moment.
Opening the fridge actually makes things worse. The heat that the fridge removes has to go somewhere - and it goes right back into the room, by way of those coils on the back.
Install the AC yourself (I’ve done it, it’s not hard, just a pain if you’re alone) and tell the landlord you’ll deal with removing it too.
best thing to do is get a fan & put it in front of the open refrigerator door so it blows cool air, i know i have slept in the kitchen before because of a/c going out.
they do make portable a/c units that don’t have to go into a window.

If you have an air conditioner, use it. Have it installed and deduct the cost of installation from the rent. If he complains you can tell him you’ll call the health department about the heat in the apartment.
i’m not so worried about you as I am wondering how your cat got in the fridge… You know he can suffocate in there… Surely you are joking..
Put some Ice in your bathtub, get a million fans and aim them at you, shave your cat, eat ice cream…
